In short: AuditSnap works entirely inside your browser. It has no server, no account and no analytics. Audit data is never sent to the developer or to anyone else, and it is deleted when you close the audited tab.
This policy explains how the AuditSnap Chrome extension (“AuditSnap”) handles information. AuditSnap is developed by Rajendra Kumar(“I”, “me”). It covers the extension only. Browsing rajendracto.com is not covered.
When AuditSnap processes data
AuditSnap does nothing until you open the extension on a tab and click Start audit. Recording stops when you click Finish audit, leave the page or close the tab. Other tabs and normal browsing are never recorded.
What it processes during an audit
- The audited page's address and title, shown in the report.
- Addresses of tracker requeststhe page makes, such as a request to facebook.com/tr, with their timing. Only requests that match AuditSnap's built-in list of known trackers and consent banners are kept.
- Your consent-banner choice: whether you clicked Accept, Reject or Save preferences, the button's label and when you clicked it.
- Cookie names on the audited site, to spot tracking cookies. Cookie values are never read.
AuditSnap does not read the page's content, form fields, passwords, messages or your browsing history.
Settings you enter
If you add report branding (agency name, website, contact email and colour), it is saved on your device and only printed into PDF reports you choose to export.
Where data is stored and for how long
- Audit results are held in your browser's session storage and are deleted when you close the audited tab or quit the browser.
- Branding settings stay on your device until you change them or remove the extension.
- PDF and CSV reports are generated on your device and saved only where you choose.
Sharing and transmission
AuditSnap does not transmit any data off your device. It makes no network requests of its own and includes no analytics, advertising or third-party code that phones home. Nothing is sold, shared or transferred to third parties, and nothing is used for advertising, credit decisions or any purpose unrelated to the audit you run.
The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
“Start fresh” clears site data
If you tick Start freshbefore an audit, AuditSnap deletes the audited site's cookies and site storage so the result reflects a first-time visitor. This may sign you out of that site. It never runs unless you tick the box, and it only affects the site being audited.
Permissions and why they are needed
Observe network requests
To list which tracker URLs the audited page requested, and when. Requests are observed, never blocked or modified, and only in the tab you are auditing.
Detect page navigation
To know when the audited page (and each of its frames) starts loading, so the consent-banner watcher can run there.
Run a script on the audited page
To detect which consent banner is shown and whether you clicked Accept, Reject or Save preferences. It reads the button you clicked, not the page's content.
Read cookie names
To report tracking cookies (for example _fbp or _ga) and to warn you when a consent choice is already stored. Cookie values are never read.
Clear site data
Only when you tick “Start fresh”: clears the audited site's cookies and site storage so the audit reflects a first-time visitor.

To keep your report branding and the in-progress audit on your device.
Access to all websites
Trackers load from third-party domains, so AuditSnap must be able to see requests to any domain. Nothing is recorded until you click Start audit.
Children
AuditSnap is a professional tool for website owners, developers and agencies. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly process children's information.
Changes to this policy
If AuditSnap's data handling changes, this page will be updated before the new version is released, and the date above will change. Material changes will also be noted in the Chrome Web Store listing.
